Ramoji Rao is an Indian businessman and media entrepreneur. He is the founder of the Ramoji Group, which has interests in film production, television, newspapers, and other industries. Ramoji Rao was born on November 16, 1935, in Pedaparupudi, a small village in Andhra Pradesh, India. His parents, Cherukuri Venkata Subbaiah and Cherukuri Venkata Subamma, were farmers. Rao was the youngest of five children, with two sisters, Ranganayakamma and Rajyalakshmi. He grew up in a poor family and had to work hard to support his family from a young age.
